Restoring Early Church Lifestyle
Despite a flood of teaching, many Christians maintain a sense of un-fulfillment. Others wonder why our prayers for revival in the Church and the nation seem to go unanswered. Is it possible that mixed with the many restored truths that there are lingering traditions?
Is it possible that these traditions are hindering total fulfillment in believers and revival in many countries. These traditions are modern day sacred cows.
Once these “sacred cows” are removed, it will release the church to be truly Spirit led and powerful.
Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that (Mark 7:13 N.I.V)
Scripture teaches that true worship is not just expressed by what we sing, but all the more by what we do.
These people draw near to Me with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. (Matt 15:8,9)
What does this Scripture in regard to communion mean?
Therefore, let us keep the feast not with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1Cor 5:8)
At our weekly meetings we sing songs of praise, take communion and hear the Word of God. In many cases believers aren’t aware or have not been taught that they are to worship, commune and hear words from God every day of the week.
Christianity is meant to be a lifestyle, not just an event.
In this subject we take a look at how our traditions can become a substitute for a Christ-like lifestyle.
